I am an artist based in Columbus, Indiana, focusing on the interplay of textures, colors, transparent washes, and playful line quality with pen and ink.  My process begins with a realistic pencil rendering of the subject using personal photographs as references. Then I build layers of colors, highlights and shadow tones playing with the spontaneous nature of watercolors. Lastly, I begin the process of calming the chaos. I find peace in the moments of intense focus in the process of flowing watercolor washes and balancing this with the control of pens.
