Watercolor Bird Series

This is a current series that I am working on. It began with the Pelican in the summer of 2025. I love the simplicity and fun water splash background.  I had to try this style again. So I created the Blue Heron. I feel like I am on to something with this series. I have found my style. I have found the process that I enjoy the most. I continued to work in this series completing the King Fisher in the fall of 2025. New goals and a new found drive to create in this series has lead to Flamingo, Rooster, and Swan in January and February 2026. I have planned a total of 10 birds for this series. I may expand it to 12 as it is difficult to determine what birds I would like to do next. There are several ideas I am developing in my mind as I complete the current painting.
